Newspapers of Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman’s two newspapers, Caymanian Compass and Cayman
NetNews, serve islanders and visitors alike, keeping readers
in touch with the world and the island community.
Caymanian Compass is the older of the two at 42 years ‘of
daily publishing’. It’s also the more conservative in layout
and tone, more serious articles, fewer and smaller pictures.
Oddly, unlike most of the news world where size and
serious go together, it’s a tabloid sized paper, which
makes it handy for reading at the
beach
or poolside.
Caymanian Compass can also be viewed on the web at
www.caycompass.com
to keep you in touch with all that’s going on in the Cayman Islands.
Cayman Netnews is also on the web at:
www.caymannetnews.com.
It’s a bold, brash broadsheet that features more contests
and more ‘human’ stories. Being Caymanian, however, it’s also
readable and decent, unlike too many tabloids around the
Western world.
