Looking for Grand Cayman Golf Courses? You’ll find them here!
Grand Cayman golf is centered around the West End resorts at present so be sure to book a
hotel or
resort
in the Seven Mile Beach area or

if you’re staying in East End. The East End does have an indoor ‘virtual’ golfing range, which is good but not quite the same. Other accommodation options to consider:
bed & breakfasts,
condos,
villas, or
timeshares.
A couple of things to keep in mind: Like many holiday spots, it’s best to play during the week when the locals are at work If you plan to play a lot of golf, ask about package deals. Britannia at the Hyatt Regency has the Caribbean’s only Jack Nicklaus-designed course. It’s a 9-hole course, with all the natural challenges of a links course, and uses creative multiple tee configurations to come up to 18 holes. Different configurations are played on different days so call ahead to be clear on whether you’re playing Executive, short or long, or regulation (short or long). For the Britannia course, Jack Niklaus also thoughtfully provided the option of a ball that travels half the distance of a regular ball, the Cayman Ball, to give players the feel of playing ‘regulation’ on an executive layout. Normally, however, people play with a regular ball. The Britannia also provides lessons and clinics from pros, junior programs, a pro shop and lounge. Green fees are around US$60 but you have to take a cart, whcih adds an additional US$15-25. Call 345-525-7901 or 345-949-1234 for reservations and tee times. The North Sound Club (formerly the Links at Safehaven) is Grand Cayman’s only 18-hole championship course. It’s located at in the Governor’s Harbour area, on the North Sound side, midway between West Bay and
George Town.
It’s a par 71 course with greens built to USGA standards. For those who like statistics, it has a course rating of 75.1. Call 345-947-4653 (GOLF) for information. Grand Cayman golf has a new addition, the Sunrise Family Golf Centre. It’s a 9-hole, par 3 course intended to be challenging to all levels of players. For those of us who like to be pampered, keep in mind it’s a walking course measuring almost 900 yards. In addition, Sunrise also has a 300 yard driving range and a grass teeeing area, as well as a clubhouse and pro-shop. You can rent the equipment right on site, which saves on carrying your clubs from home. Contact Sunrise at: 345-947-4653 If renting clubs isn’t an option, the
